Diane Boyd is the Founder of One Step At A Time Recovery House and a Registered Peer Recovery Specialist serving Hampton Roads and surrounding communities. A serial entrepreneur, published author, and life coach, Diane brings both professional expertise and lived experience to the foundation of the program.

Having navigated her own journey through addiction between 2012 and 2017 while caring for a sick parent, Diane understands firsthand the complexities of recovery, grief, responsibility, and resilience. Her personal experience fuels her passion for creating spaces where individuals feel seen, supported, and empowered to reclaim their lives.

In 2021, Diane authored From Pills to Purpose, sharing her story to bring hope and encouragement to others facing similar struggles. Her work in recovery is deeply rooted in faith, purpose, and the belief that transformation is possible when people are met with structure, compassion, and accountability.

Before launching One Step At A Time Recovery House, Diane built a strong professional background in senior management and the mortgage industry, developing skills in leadership, training, and organizational operations. These experiences uniquely position her to lead a recovery program that balances heart with structure and vision with execution.

Diane is also committed to continued growth and education, currently pursuing an associate’s degree in Human Services with aspirations toward advanced study. Her dedication to learning ensures that the services provided remain informed, ethical, and responsive to the evolving needs of those in recovery.
